Show our veterans the thanks they deserve this Veterans Day.
Veterans Day is November 11
th. On this day, take a moment to think about the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces throughout the years. This Veterans Day, honor our veteran community by trying out these suggestions.
1) Attend an Event
On Veterans Day, there are many fundraisers, parades, and other events that recognize the veteran community. Take this opportunity to gather your friends and family and attend one of these events. While this may seem like a simple action, showing up will let veterans know that you support them.
2) Write a Letter
Another great way to get involved this Veterans Day is by writing notes that thank the veteran community for their service. This is an activity that the whole family can get involved with€”even the kids can draw pictures and write little notes. Once you finish all your letters, send them to the nearest military of VA (Veterans Affairs) installation for them to distribute. This Veterans Day, your words can show our veterans just how much you care.
3) Say Thanks
The easiest way to express your gratitude this Veterans Day is by simply telling a veteran €œthank you.€ Almost everyone has family members or friends that have served in the U.S. military. So, make sure you reach out and thank them for their service. Additionally, it's important that every veteran feels included and appreciated this Veterans Day. Unfortunately, many patients at VA hospitals do not receive regular visitors. This Veterans Day, visit your local VA hospital and offer the gift of your company and conversation. This may be the simplest, yet most meaningful way to show your gratitude this holiday.
