One of the best parts of the holiday season is getting to indulge in all the tasty treats! While cookies are always a favorite, there are many other desserts that incorporate the flavors of the season. Try out this holiday dessert recipe that all of your loved ones are sure to enjoy!
Milk Chocolate Peppermint Bark
You will need:
- 2 packages white chocolate chips
- 2 packages milk chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
- 8 peppermint candy canes, crushed and divided
Then you will need to:
- line a 12 x 18-inch jelly roll pan with aluminum foil.
- Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between each melting. Depending on your microwave, this can take 1 to 5 minutes. Stir in the peppermint extract. Spread the chocolate evenly in the prepared pan and chill until set, about 30 minutes.
- Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, following the same instructions as you did for the milk chocolate. Stir in ΒΌ cup of the crushed candy canes. Spread the white chocolate mixture evenly over the milk chocolate. Sprinkle the rest of the candy cane pieces over the white chocolate. Chill until set, about 1 hour, and then break into pieces.
